Electromagnetic compatibility tests
Electromagnetic compatibility tests
The first modern EMC laboratory in Romania
In order to develop activities in the field of testing, ICMET established the first modern laboratory in Romania for electromagnetic compatibility tests (CEM), designed to ensure electromagnetic compatibility for electrical and electronic equipment. The laboratory is the result of close cooperation between ICMET Craiova and the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) Braunschweig, Germany.
Currently, the immunity tests and conducted disturbance measurements performed by this laboratory are accredited by RENAR. In 2000, the semi-anechoic chamber was put into operation, the first of its kind in Romania.
