ICMET Craiova's participation and achievements at the EUROINVENT 2020 edition

We successfully participated in the international exhibition EUROINVENT. The event took place in 2020. It took place between May 21 and 23. It was the twelfth edition of this event. The exhibition was organized in an online format. The city of Iasi was the virtual host of the event. Our researchers presented very valuable inventions. Romanian innovation was appreciated internationally. The jury carefully evaluated each technical project. We achieved excellent results at this exhibition. Our record includes silver and bronze medals. These confirm the value of our research work.

Silver Medal for Complex Adaptive Systems

I received the silver medal for an outstanding invention. The name is Adaptive System Designed to Ensure Electric Power Quality. The project aims at energy quality in low-voltage networks. The proposed adaptive system solves common technical problems. Low-voltage networks become much safer. The main authors are Dumitru Sacerdotianu and Marcel Nicola. The team includes Sergiu Ivanov and Marian Ciontu. The team also includes Mircea Dorin Chindris and Adrian Cristinel Cziker. Alexandru Radu and Camil-Sorin Dumitrescu contributed significantly. We congratulate all the authors for this great achievement. Their effort brings real benefits to the entire industry.

Bronze medal for monitoring transmission lines

The bronze medal was awarded for another solution. The invention is called Monitoring Method and System. It monitors the deflection of overhead power line conductors. The system provides precise data on the state of transmission networks. Preventing damage is crucial in the national energy sector. The authors are Dumitru Sacerdotianu and Marcel Nicola. The team continues with Adrian Vintila and Claudiu Nicola. The team also includes Iulian Hurezeanu and Florica Lazarescu. Paul Popescu, Ion Purcaru and Anca Albita helped a lot. This innovative method increases operational safety. Teamwork always generates great results.
