EVS 30 Symposium Stuttgart 2017 – the only Romanian presence in electric mobility

National Institute for Research, Development and Testing for Electrotechnics – ICMET Craiova participated in EVS 30 Symposium Stuttgart 2017. This was the only Romanian presence at the most important European event dedicated to electric mobility. The event took place at Stuttgart, Germany, October 9-11, 2017.

About EVS Symposium

EVS (Electric Vehicle Symposium) is the longest-running international symposium dedicated to electric vehicles. It was founded in 1969 and annually brings together researchers, engineers and decision-makers from the automotive industry. Participants come from dozens of countries and present the latest results in the field of sustainable mobility.

30th edition, EVS 30 Symposium Stuttgart 2017, gathered over 1,800 participants from 50 countries. Hundreds of scientific papers were presented. The main topics covered electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and sustainable mobility policies.

Relevance for Romanian research

The presence of ICMET Craiova in Stuttgart demonstrated the capacity of Romanian researchers to contribute to the European debate on electric mobility. The presented paper addressed the concept of a crossover electric vehicle. It highlighted the institute's expertise in the field of applied electrical engineering.

ICMET Craiova is the National Institute for Research, Development and Testing for Electrotechnics. The institution carries out research, testing and certification activities for electrical equipment. It is nationally and European accredited in multiple technical fields.
