NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING FOR ELECTROTECHNIQUES – ICMET CRAIOVA, with its registered office in Craiova, Bd. Decebal, no. 118A, 200746, Dolj County, with Trade Register number J1999000312165, unique tax registration code RO 3871599, is committed to protecting the integrity, confidentiality and security of personal data and attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the principles described below and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. 

ICMET Craiova processes the data that is provided to it voluntarily or that it automatically acquires by visiting the website www.icmet.ro, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable national legislation in force, of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR" and of Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, with subsequent additions and amendments. 

The website, services and/or products may contain links to the websites and services of other companies that have their own privacy policies and/or third-party services installed on your device may allow access to information on your device. ICMET Craiova recommends that you carefully read the privacy policies of these third parties. ICMET Craiova is not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these third parties.

By using the Website or submitting your personal data to ICMET Craiova, you understand and agree that your personal data may be processed as explained in this privacy policy.

           ICMET Craiova ensures the continuity of the operation of this website, emphasizing the following aspects regarding access:

– some data may have been created or structured in files or formats that may contain errors for reasons beyond the control of the institution;

– there may be situations in which the website services cannot be accessed by users due to technical reasons or data transmission errors caused by the distinct nature of web networks or by incompatibilities related to the user's navigation program (internet browser).

• Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"). You, in relation to ICMET Craiova, are, according to the legislation, a "data subject". 
• Processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. 
• The ICMET Craiova website represents the main means of communication of ICMET Craiova on the Internet and is accessible at www.icmet.ro. 

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Simply visiting our website www.icmet.ro does not require you to provide us with any personal data. Personal data can be obtained through one of the following methods: 

 Information provided voluntarily – when you contact us through the website, the Contact section, when you contact us by email or when you interact directly with us at organized activities (internship, mentoring master's/doctoral studies, different week, green week, summer school, volunteering) you voluntarily provide us with personal data, which may include your name and surname, profession, institution, telephone number, email address, etc. 

PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING

Some services offered through the ICMET Craiova website require the processing of personal data, exclusively for the specific purpose for which they were collected. 

• Online contact – users of the ICMET Craiova website have the possibility of sending messages/requests/requests online, through the Contact Section or to the e-mail address icmet@icmet.ro. The personal data that ICMET Craiova The following data are processed for this process: first and last name, address to which the response is requested / e-mail address. The basis for this processing is art. 6 para. 1 letter a) of the GDPR, namely the data subject has given his/her consent. 
• Filing complaints online – website users ICMET Craiova have the possibility of submitting complaints by accessing the Contact/Complaints section. These can also be sent by the complainants to the address icmet@icmet.ro. The personal data that ICMET Craiova processes for this process are the following:

first and last name, home address, e-mail address. The basis for this processing is art.6 para.1 letter c) of the GDPR, namely the processing is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation incumbent on ICMET Craiova, according to the provisions of Government Ordinance no. 27/2002 on the regulation of the activity of resolving petitions and of Law no. 233/2002 for the approval of Government Ordinance no. 27/2002. 

• Participation in the activities organized by ICMET Craiova (internship, mentoring master's/doctoral studies, different week, green week, summer school, volunteering) - the data subjects, in order to register for participation, must provide a series of data, which is not limited to name and surname, profession, institution, telephone number, e-mail address. The basis for this processing is art.6 para.1 letter a) of the GDPR, respectively the data subject has given his/her consent. 
• Browsing the ICMET Craiova website – upon access, information about your visit to the site is automatically generated. The basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of ICMET Craiova according to art. 6 para. 1 letter f) of the GDPR, respectively the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the operator. ICMET Craiova processes this data to ensure the proper functioning and improvement of the services offered by the site, to identify users who have abusive behavior (countering DoS attacks), as well as to generate traffic statistics (total number of accesses to the site, number of unique IPs, most accessed pages, IPs with the most accesses, etc. Access statistics are generated daily. Detailed information older than 10 days is automatically deleted. 

PERSONAL DATA STORAGE PERIOD

ICMET Craiova stores the personal data of visitors to the ICMET Craiova website and those contained in requests addressed to ICMET Craiova through the forms available on the website/via e-mail, only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data were collected (this also includes the storage period for auditing and for fulfilling human resources formalities), imposed by the legal provisions applicable in the field, respectively by the provisions regarding archiving. 

RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

Internally, the processing of personal data is carried out only by ICMET Craiova staff with responsibilities in the areas for which they were collected.  

This data may be communicated to persons outside ICMET Craiova when this is necessary to achieve the purpose of the processing and/or in the cases provided for by law. 

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

We do not transfer your data to countries within/outside the European Union, except as expressly provided by law or when this is necessary for the purpose of collection. In the event of a change to this provision, the data subjects are informed accordingly. 

CONSEQUENCES OF FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE REQUESTED PERSONAL DATA

In the event that a visitor to the site ICMET Craiova refuses to provide certain information essential for the purpose of accessing, ICMET Craiova reserves the right not to comply with that request.

PERSONAL DATA SECURITY

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect the website against loss, destruction, unauthorized access, modification or dissemination of your data to unauthorized persons.  

The website has a valid SSL (security) certificate and we use the most advanced security protocols and additional web security features, for the safest possible experience.  

At the same time, security measures are implemented for the servers hosting the ICMET Craiova website, which include antivirus, firewall, regular security checks, security scans, vulnerability testing, and intrusion testing systems. 

PROTECTION OF MINORS

We do not solicit personal data from minors. Individuals under the age of 16 should not submit personal data to us without the consent of their parents or guardians. Such data is not intentionally collected and is not disclosed to third parties.
