ICMET Craiova participation at the international exhibition INVENTICA 2019

We participated in the international INVENTICA exhibition in Iasi. The event took place in the summer of 2019. More precisely, it took place between June 26 and 28. This was the twenty-third edition. The exhibition intensively promotes Romanian scientific innovation and creativity. Our institute presented extremely valuable technical inventions. Our experts prepared very complex practical solutions. The jury highly appreciated the effort of the research team from Craiova. The results were truly exceptional for all of us. The list of awards includes four absolutely remarkable gold distinctions. We are proud of these top professional achievements.

Gold medals for cooling and power quality

The first distinction is an internationally recognized diploma of excellence. It comes with the much-coveted gold medal. The invention is an innovative compressed air cooling equipment. The authors are Florin Teisanu together with engineer Constantin Chelan. The team also includes Marian Duta and Ion Patru. The second invention also received a gold medal. It ensures energy quality in low-voltage networks. Dumitru Sacerdotianu and Marcel Nicola are the first authors involved. The team also includes Sergiu Ivanov and Marian Ciontu. Mircea Dorin Chindris and Andrei Cristinel Cziker contributed massively. Alexandru Radu and Camil-Sorin Dumitrescu complete this united team.

Solutions for microhydropower plants and cable monitoring

We won gold for a very interesting ecological microhydropower plant. It works completely without any necessary water fall. The project protects the environment and produces clean energy. Marian Duta and Serghie Vlase lead this technical team. Sebastian Popescu and Silviu Andreescu provided essential solutions. Cristian Salceanu and Catalin Dobrea completed this innovative project. The fourth distinction is a diploma of special achievements. The invention monitors the cable deflection for vital overhead power lines. The system greatly increases the safety of national energy transport networks. The team is led by researchers Dumitru Sacerdotianu and Marcel Nicola. Adrian Vintila and Claudiu Nicola participated very actively. Iulian Hurezeanu and Florica Lazarescu together with Paul Popescu contributed. Ion Purcaru and Anca Albita perfectly complete the list of valuable authors.

These four gold medals represent a huge victory. They once again confirm our expertise in global electrotechnical research. Innovation remains the main engine of our institute's development always.
