ICMET at EVS 30 Symposium Stuttgart 2017 – Electric Mobility
ICMET the only Romanian presence at EVS 30 Symposium Stuttgart 2017
The National Institute for Research, Development and Testing for Electrotechnics was present in Stuttgart. ICMET Craiova represented the only Romanian presence at this important event. EVS 30 Symposium is the most important European event dedicated to electric mobility. The event took place in October 2017 in Germany.
„"Romania must be close to Europe 2020 targets"”
EVS stands for Electric Vehicle Symposium in English. This is the longest-running international symposium of its kind in the world. The event is dedicated to electric vehicles and sustainable mobility in general. ICMET Craiova's participation in this event is very significant for us. It reflects the institute's involvement in specialized applied research. We are intensively studying modern urban and interurban electric mobility technologies. We are pursuing European objectives regarding the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. We actively support the energy transition towards cleaner and more efficient sources. Our presence there confirms the strategic direction of our institute. Electric mobility is the future of urban transport and not only.
We develop solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. We test equipment dedicated to this rapidly expanding global sector. Our researchers propose innovative solutions for increased energy efficiency. The international collaboration at EVS 30 was extremely fruitful. We exchanged ideas with world leaders in the automotive and energy industries. Romania must quickly align with current European standards. The Europe 2020 targets were a central topic of discussion there. Reducing pollution in cities is an absolute priority for everyone. The technologies developed in Craiova can contribute to this major objective. We are investing significant resources in this field of future research. Our expertise in electrical engineering is now applied in electromobility. We are proud to represent Romania at such a high level.
