Main objectives of the LAMOTEP project

The main objective is the continuous development of the performances in our energy networks. We aim to drastically improve the quality of the measuring equipment. The monitoring equipment requires specific installations for rigorous periodic metrological checks.

We will directly set up a metrologically accredited mobile laboratory for this purpose. The completion method involves obtaining official operating accreditation urgently. The mobile laboratory will check essential equipment on large power transformers.

Development and accreditation stages

Stage I (Year 2006)

Activity: Study and analysis regarding the creation of the mobile laboratory for periodic metrological verification.
Period: 10.08.2006 – 30.11.2006
Total amount: 32,000 lei

Stage II (Year 2007)

Activity: Implementation of rigorous technical tests to be officially accredited in the field.
Period: 30.11.2006 – 30.04.2007
Total amount: 387,500 lei

Stage III (Year 2007)

Activity: Implementation and complex analysis of the Quality System adopted in the newly created laboratory.
Period: 30.04.2007 – 30.09.2007
Total amount: 88,500 lei

Stage IV (Year 2008)

Activity: Obtaining final and complete accreditation of the operational mobile laboratory by RENAR.
Period: 30.09.2007 – 31.01.2008
Total amount: 112,500 lei

User network and technical impact

Potential beneficiaries and top companies

The system serves all local producers who maintain frequently metered products in operation. We have in mind the major producers of electrical and industrial thermal energy. Our main beneficiaries are the company Hidroelectrica SA and the related thermal power plants.

This includes completely independent power plant units throughout the country. We also collaborate with major transporters such as the national entity CN Transelectrica. We provide security to vital distribution companies such as SC Electrica SA and its subsidiaries.

Guaranteed economic and qualitative benefits

From a technical point of view, the laboratory offers real conditions of maximum permanent safety. It perfectly maintains perfectly compliant products in operation in a highly competitive energy sector. This pressing necessity has become truly absolutely major today in modern Romania.

Rigorous metrological control by an officially recognized and accredited laboratory is mandatory. The laboratory must be able to quickly and transparently apply the conformity label to the equipment.

Avoiding major environmental accidents

The existence of this very well-equipped mobile laboratory seriously supports local and independent economic agents. They can reliably supply electricity and heat strictly at the quality parameters required by consumers.

We are rapidly developing the capacity of the infrastructure and immediately perfecting all the young human resources available locally. We are in great need of highly trained specialists in the field. Careful metrological monitoring of large equipment very effectively prevents unwanted and disastrous polluting accidents. Air pollution with fires or soil pollution with technical oils will be stopped.
