ICMET Craiova projects – research and development
ICMET Craiova Institute has a solid tradition. We implement complex research and innovation projects. Research is our main engine. This ensures constant technological progress. Thus, we remain among the European elite of specialized laboratories.
Strategic research directions and impact in industry
Our projects solve current problems in the energy system. We always aim to increase efficiency and protect the environment. We also develop new high-performance electrotechnical equipment. Through these initiatives, we ensure technological transfer to the industry. We always create innovative solutions for our partners.
The results obtained are embodied in new technologies. We generate patents and approved products. We offer solutions for revitalizing old equipment. We publish internationally recognized scientific papers. At the same time, the accumulated expertise allows us to offer advanced consulting.

The main categories of ongoing projects
CORE Program
These are research and technological development projects. They are financed directly by the state authority. The goal is to develop the institutional capacities of ICMET Craiova. Thus, we permanently strengthen our core competencies.
National RDI Plan
There are projects implemented through the National Research Plan. These are often carried out in consortium with other institutes. We have strong industrial partners for specific themes. Together we solve technical problems of great complexity.
