DIRECT TESTING SCHEME

  • Generators: Three short-circuit units. Each has 2500 MVA. The current is 120 kA for 0.5 s. They operate in parallel.
  • Protection: Six three-phase circuit breaker units. The parameters are 12 kV and 120 kA.
  • Short circuiters: Nine single-phase units. The parameters are 12 kV and 330 kA.
  • Step-up transformers: Nine single-phase units of 600 MVA. Ratios 12/12/25/51 kV.
  • Step-down transformers: Four 40 MVA single-phase units. Multiple ratios.
  • Cells: Eight test cells available.
  • Capacitors: Battery for direct testing. Three-phase 36 kV and 400 A.
  • Heating: Heating test installation. Up to 10,000 A in AC.
  • Pantograph: IT disconnector installation. Parameters 525 kV and 60 kA/1s.
  • Power arc: AC installation For 420 kV insulator strings.
  • Digital: Digital Measurement System 100 MS/s. It has 16bit and 24 channels.

SERVICES OFFERED

Standard and Switching Tests

  • Testing the switching capacity of MV and LV circuit breakers and disconnectors. The breaking capacity of fuses is also tested.
  • Thermal and dynamic stability tests. These apply to IT and LV devices, cables and cells.
  • Dynamic short-circuit stability testing of power transformers. The limit is up to 120 MVA.
  • Switching tests for inductive and capacitive currents. Applies to circuit breakers and switch disconnectors.
  • Mechanical endurance testing for circuit breakers, disconnectors and contactors.

Special and Heating Tests

  • Heating tests of current paths of electrical devices and bars. Maximum rated current 10 kA ac.
  • Heating tests on power transformers, instrument transformers and reactors.
  • Short circuit tests of arresters, armatures and motors. Grounding systems are also tested.
  • Special power arc tests. Performed on insulator lines. Includes internal electric arc.

High power testing on site

  • Measurement of switching overvoltage when disconnecting inductive and capacitive loads. Applicable in networks up to 420 kV.
  • Measurement of voltages induced in the load during short circuit on overhead lines with voltages up to 420 kV.
