High Voltage Division

High voltage expertise

Within the institute, this icmet high voltage division occupies a central place. It ensures the verification of critical equipment for the energy system. Our activity is based on technical rigor. We test the insulation and resistance of equipment.

The division coordinates complex laboratories. Here we simulate extreme operating conditions. The equipment must withstand surges. It must also cope with harsh environmental factors. Operational safety is our priority.

Low and high voltage testing laboratory

This laboratory is the main testing structure. It covers a wide range of checks for electrotechnical equipment. The laboratory is divided into specialized teams for maximum efficiency.

Electrical testing team

Here we check the essential electrical parameters. We test the dielectric strength. We measure the level of partial discharges. We check the behavior during lightning impulses.

Mechanical and environmental testing team

Equipment is not only subjected to electrical stress. It must also withstand mechanical stress. In this group, we simulate vibrations and shocks. We also test operation in climatic chambers. We check resistance to humidity, heat or excessive cold.

CD Laboratory for High Voltage Technology

In addition to testing, we also do research. We develop new diagnostic methods. We study the behavior of new insulating materials. This laboratory supports innovation in the field.
